Saturday work!

Don't know what I just did but the whole blog just pisadeared! Here goes again - just finished my Saturday work and am waiting for the floors to dry and having a drink of rhubarb/raspberry/sprite. Kyle Utz was visiting - he is now 5'10", 14 yrs old and wearing new glasses. Looks a lot different than a few years ago - is a nice kid. He plays Jon's computer games and nobers with me. Dad is out seeding out by Kevin's field - hard fescue. Using a small seeder - compared to some of their previous ones. Hopes to be able to go to FSJ and play golf at 5:45 AM tomorrow if he isn't on the tractor too late. Then after church we are invited to Emily & Peter Fehr's kids Highland Dance recital and supper afterward. Should be fun - maybe even get to see our youngest son Jon -we hear he has been keeping himself groomed lately for a young lady! Went to Selma Gunther's funeral -lots of people- Gwen did eulogy- saw Lorne & Juleen - said the wedding was lovely but weather was very hot & muggy. Talked to Dwayne Friesen - enjoyed the slingshot paintball stag! Especially with Matt wearing a pink nurses uniform! Also talked to a friend of ours John Friesen - said his wife's uncle -her name was Sawatsky- was talking about their youth pastor - they love him - turns out it's our boy David and Mary. Didn't think to ask him about his last name. My ladies are at Willy & Nettie's daughter Esther's Verlaffness today - Simon is getting married on the same weekend that Anita & Brent are - I wanted to go to his wedding. Well hope we have a lovely Father's Day tomorrow. God is good! CJAxo

For better or Clayhurst

We were able to go fishing again yesterday with Alan & Marlene Maxwell - have a 24' river jet boat - very stable. Had lots of fun - running from thundershowers - Dad caught lots of fish and I even caught one walleye. Alan & Marlene also caught lots - had to throw most them back because our limit is one a piece. Lovely evening after the storm - Swan Lake - so peaceful and quiet - mist on the lake so cool! I think Dad is hooked - is talking about getting rods and stuff. Hope your birthday was a good day Mary - we thank the Lord for you often. CJA xo

Sunny Saturday

Today is a lovely day although thunderstorms are threatening. We could use a little more rain for the garden. Seeding is over half finished. Are maybe going fishing again tomorrow afternoon with the Maxwell's if things turn out okay - maybe to Swan Lake with maggots for bait - yucky. I did my Saturday work and am waiting for the floors to dry. Lynn & Brad will be heading to Montreal on Tuesday - should be an amazing trip - their kids had all kinds of things planned for them. Sounds like fun - God is faithful. Hope your trip to Ontario went okay and Mary I hope you weren't too lonesome-Dave hope you got pictures. Krista is working at True Valu but not lovin it - the Lord will guide her to a better place I hope! Mark came and picked up the camper so they should be ready to vacation all summer! Lots of beautiful camp spots out there in Fairviewland. All for now - supper to be made!
