Summertime begins
Wow,it's foggy today. We've had some good little trips already- Chris & Krystal's wedding in Yarrow - was very lovely outdoors - foot washing and dove release- so unique. Had a great time - spent some time with Cherly & Arie Winkelhorst - visited with Aunt Sue for a tiny while and then to Quesnel to stay at Uncle Don & Aunt Maureen's - warm hospitality - nice garden too! July 9 - wedding at Prespatou- Luveena & Norman Wiebe- also outdoor ceremony- iffy weather but it turned out well. Fabulous yard and garden - may the Lord bless both of these young couples as they go on this adventure of becoming one! On Sat. am Dad was able to go to a portion of the Buick Creek reunion and visited with people he knew long time ago. We all went out to Buick on Sunday am and had breakfast and Fran and I went back to FSJ with Marvin & Coleen to a brunch shower for Anita at Aunt Joan's. Was a good time too. Ernie & Joan have an awesome yard.
We also received some amazing news - we are going to be grandparents - Lord willing in January 06 - Wow what a lovely surprise. Thanks Dave & Mary for coming home and telling us in person - the mini video tells it all. Screams of delight! What a blessing!
Went to Krystal & Chris's gift opening on Saturday the 16 of July - was good to visit with everyone. Had supper with a bunch of people later - they haven't really heard from Dean - need to continue to pray for him.
Dad is still out working quite a lot - somedays he looks beat, but we pray the Lord will give him strength to go on. I went strawberry picking with Betty B - at Bridgeview Farms near Grimshaw - lovely berries - lots of fun. Even met some of Betty's cousins there who came down from La Crete. Shall see if I have to go to Lynn's tomorrow - they have been holidaying down south. Garden is doing well - now have lots of rain. Fescue swathing is next on the list. Love you both xoxo
