September 29, 2005

Here it is close to the end of another month. Has been a lovely month though - lots of windy days and not too damp up here in the north. Ed & I made a trip up to La Crete on the weekend - left Sat. afternoon and spent the evening and all day Sunday visiting with relatives The occasion was Uncle Jake & Aunt Helen Froese's 50th wedding invitation -celebrated in a restored old barn at the Heritage Village Museum. What a special time of renewing friendships and news - visited with Uncle Victor, Aunt Mary, Aunt Tena, and Uncle George & Aunt Nadine from Saskatchewan. They are all amazingly healthy and happy. We stayed overnight at Uncle Henry's- Peter & Marge Froese's. What lovely hosts. Got mini tours of the town and lots of visiting. Lots of new acreages and homes there. The leaves were blowing off the trees all weekend and continue to do so today. Ed is still hauling bales off of fields - should be silaging soon. God's love is sure!

September is here

Just had a great weekend - Donna, Krista & Mark & Jon were home and hung out here for a few days. Jon seems pretty busy with youth sponsoring, worship team and of course hockey! Krista, Donna & I made noodles on Saturday morning. The kids went on a hike on the Peace Hills and the guys whacked golf balls off the cliffs into the Peace River! Ed is hauling fescue bales - should be silaging soon I think. Leaves are slowly being blown away but the colours have been amazing. Hope to have a dry fall so we can get stuff out of the garden. Potatoes and carrots remain. Enjoyed talking to David & Mary by phone - wish we could pop over and see them though. We are so excited at the prospect of becoming grandparents for the first time! God is good!
