Chilly January

Just a few lines to let you know we are still in Clayhurst. I(CJA) even drove the bi-directional tractor down the road aways today. Why is it we never have the camera when we have a good pic opportunity? The buffalo bulls are soo big and with the snow blowing on their heads looked so awesome this morning. Is a chilly day and Dad is at Andrew's sorting buffalo this afternoon.
Celebrated another Christmas Dinner on Sunday with Elvin & Emily & Peter & kids and Krista & Mark. Yummy turkey! Yesterday Dad & I went to GP Marmit Plastics to pick up steamer water containers - was a blustery day and somewhat icy but we had a good day together. Are eargerly awaiting news of family expansion in Stettler! Hope you are both in good health. Shall send pic of Jon and Andrew at New Years with a pile of kids. Jon is in Edmonton at the Worship Weekend.

January news

Here it is early Jan 2006-have had an enjoyable Christmas break - after being in Stettler for a few days - which was amazing - altho I have had Niagara Falls in my right ear since then - we celebrated New Years at Ann & Dan Peters with a whole bunch of Amendts - around 50 or so. Was a lovely time - Grandpa Amendt even stayed awake past midnight. About 5 couples stayed for a "sleepover" - most of the kids were at Blueberry Bible Camp for a Youth Night. John & Michael hosted a New Years Thing at their house again - everyone survived the fireworks games! Went to Buick Creek for church - Sunday AM - Randy was preaching. Then went back to Clayhurst to Elvin's house and had a lovely supper with Steve& Tasha and boys and Emily & Peter & kids and Dave & Barb too. Good to visit with them all again. Last weekend we spent in Tumbler ridge with Dennis & Fran - Ed helped put in five basement windows - ended up staying overnight and going to the Baptist Church in the morning. We got a lovely washing machine in return - my 29 year old Maytag just gave up. So in the last couple of months have replaced 2 major appliances - a fridge and a washer - hope these last at least half as long as the old ones did! Another load of buffalo has been sent to the States - in total - 4 loads I think. Don & Maureen are back in Canada from Australia and John is home while his health permits. The Lord is good.
